Meet the Artist
x.miromiro, why do you make art?
My first interaction with art - as far as I can remember - was the frequent visits to the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art with my parents (at that time, I was 6-7 years old). Although in post-revolutionary Iran, the most valuable Western masterpieces of the collections were locked away in the basement, my parents kept visiting the museum frequently. In retrospect, art was a kind of a gateway for my parents to escape from the radical changes which were happening at that time in the  Iranian society.
Since then, I have been fascinated with art and images, although it is not always possible for me to put the finger on it. I never felt worthy of art, so I studied Business Management and found my way into the corporate world. Art slowly grows with me along the way. Creating art is my escape from the corporate environment as it opens the door to a kinder, more beautiful and more exciting world.

How did you find out about NFT & what made you decide to deal with it and create NFTs yourself?
In late 2020,  I was reading an article about NFTs. the NFT concept struck me as there was finally a way to empower small artists without relying on gatekeepers and channels of the traditional art world.
Soon I found myself in a rabbit hole researching everything around NFT.  However, my initial enthusiasm slowed down after I learned about the environmental issues and the high gas fees of minting on the Ethereum blockchain. Luckily I found out about alternative chains like Tezos, which don't have these issues. Since then, I've been exploring the space and learning constantly.

What personal info do you want the audiences to know about you?
I'm a self-taught artist who has spent most of his life immersed in the arts with photography and other digital art forms. Having lived in 5 different countries and my rich multicultural experiences throughout my life have influenced my artistic work.
My portfolio is diverse, yet strong themes underpin my approach. I love photography to capture real-life scenes and the desire to convey a mood or feeling using processing techniques to create the image I see in my mind's eye.
