Meet the Artist
Miharu Nakagawa, why do you make art?
There are several reasons for this, but the biggest reason is that my grandfather was a painter and I grew up in an environment where I was always exposed to art from an early age. When I close my eyes, I can vividly recall the days of reading books in the room filled with the scent of oil paintings. Therefore, it was a natural act for me to express what I wanted to see and what my heart was moved by through art making. Later, as I began to create photographic works, art has always been a part of my life. Making art is an important time for me to face my mind and it is an essential activity to heal my mind like meditation.
How did you find out about NFTs & what made you decide to deal with it and create NFTs yourself?
I first heard about NFT through a TV broadcast in Japan, and I think the main reason I started creating NFT is because I have a strong curiosity. I am willing to try things I don't know. I believe I should live honestly with my feelings. Convincing myself not to do it for some reason, although I am curious about it, does not seem like a good idea to me.
What personal info do you want the audiences to know about you?
The collection featured in this issue is titled "Ritual". In addition to this collection, I've created several other collections in the past, some of which are minted. I'll resume past collections and starting new ones in the future. Please follow me on Twitter for updates.
